adventure themed playroom reveal! finally!

Yay!!! It's finally time! I got my act together long enough to actually clean the playroom and take semi-decent photos! Go me! (exclamation points!!!!!!!!!)

I feel like I've been promising this post forever, but in my defense my kids sole reason for being seems to be to thwart me. Better late than never right? Right?!

So lets get on with it shall we, before some poo-related catastrophe get's in my way? Lovely.

personalised cork board

Keep your eyes peeled people, the playroom reveal is coming this week! I've decided that I'm never going to do the couple of things I've been meaning to "finish off" in there so this is a good as it gets. I'm just waiting for the gods of good photo's to bless me with a bright day that happens to coincide with the room being tidy and I'm golden!

So basically don't hold your breath.

a gallery wall with a difference

The playroom is finished!....well, practically finished anyway, I just have to figure out how to incorporate a little bit more lighting in there. I hate overhead lighting and I will avoid using it at all costs! However, the lamps and strings of lights I would usually use really aren't a great choice in a room designed for such small kids so I'm a bit stumped. Suggestions are totally welcome :)

Anyway, while I'm waiting to get the whole room photographed and up here on the blog I thought I'd share a few of the different elements in here first, and to start with I chose.......yet another gallery/feature wall!! SURPRISE!

playroom plans

I'm not on my own in feeling like it's been January for about three months now right? Will it NEVER get to the end of the month?! So many things I want to do around here, so little money to do them with. I'm feeling all:

Thankfully there really is something in the saying "neccessity is the mother of invention" and I'm almost finished my super cheap (read:totally free cos I only used stuff I already had) downstairs loo makeover so I'll be sharing that as soon as I can get some decent photos!

In the meantime I've been planning out what I want to do in the playroom...cos planning is all I can afford right now!
